PRINCESS ELLA'S BIG DAY!...
Ella is 1 and we celebrated her big day in a very pink and polka dotted way! In the spirit of it all Ella even sported pink eye--in both eyes! YIKES! She was a trooper...she opened her gifts spending most of her time playing with the tissue paper and moving things around. Ella is a walker and she is into everything! She did not leave any of the bags unturned. I guess I didn't either. I was right in the mix of all the gift opening. I had to help...it's my nature. Meme didn't mind, but mom and dad kept trying to move me out of the picture and to the sidelines...it didn't work. When the gifts were open it was apparent we had a favorite. The Winnie the Pooh airplane was a hit! We took turns flying around the livingroom. I was about 3 times too big for it, but that did not stop me from trying. It was great until suddenly it disappeared to be stuffed behind the sofa. HUM! We headed to the kitchen for her cupcakes and ice cream. Ella played along for the song and even squished the cake a bit but she was not a fan of the mess. After a loud screaming session Meme had to rescue her and sweep her off to the tub. That gave us boys time to enjoy our sweets...and time for the sillies too. Happy Birthday Ella! We love you!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!...
Another year has come and gone. 2008 was on the way out and we were ready to celebrate 2009 a few hours early. We met our neighbors for fun, food and fireworks. Austin and I made sure that as the new year rolled in the fun kept rolling in too...in fact we were laughing so hard we were the ones rolling. We had burgers with all the fixins followed by cupcakes, sparklers and cider. We ran laps with the sparklers and by 9:00 we had exhausted our parents and our fireworks. With tears, we retired 2008 and headed to bed knowing that with a new year comes a new opportunity for each of us to be all we dreamed. We can aspire to love more, cherish more and make even more wonderful memories with friends and family. Happy New year!

Cheers!
