CELEBRATING BIRTHDAYS SUPERHERO STYLE!...
My best buddy Austin is 5! Yes, I would like to be 5 too, but until then I will settle on being 3, almost 4 and then quickly 5. We had a super time dressed to impress in superhero gear. I was ready to show off my muscles and my moves at the Lil Gym. Happy Birthday Buddy! Keep your costume pressed...only 3 months until we do it all again!

BOWLING 2.0...
Here's the cool thing about bowling...you actually have permission to wear somebody else's snazzy Velcro and perfect for tapping shoes, chunk a hugely, heavy ball and intentionally knock things over. Top that off with a giant screen that blinks your name, a computer and ball return and WOW! That is just about all I can say. I love bowling! One game is never enough and the minute mom convinces me the game is over and it is time to go I am already asking about our return date. Where else could I slip and slide in my victory dance across a huge wooden floor and listen to great jams over the intercom too? Okay, a club does offer the same effects, but I have another 15 years before I have that option. I'm telling you people, I just might become a professional! Bowling league anyone?
Side note--Mom realizes that my shirt is a mere 3 sizes too big, but the choice remained...argue with a 3 year old and ruin the morning or allow me to look like a precious, giddy, smiling child swallowed by a new superhero t-shirt. I think she chose correctly. Bowling followed by reading in the bookstore for hours and Cafe Express is always a winner in my book. Thanks Big Grandma for my gift cards...I have used every penny plus some extra dollars in the last month. I have a whoppin' pile of new books and I LOVE READING! Gone are the days of pick 1 or 2 for bedtime. I jump into bed with a stack of 6!

CRACK THE EGG NOT YOUR HEAD!...
Look what hatched in my kitchen! This is no "normal" egg. ROAR!...my very own dinosaur. I watched over him for 2 days as his egg cracked and body parts began to emerge from the shell. I worried about what he would eat and if he would be lonely without his mom and dad. I checked on him morning, noon and night and reported all the new happenings to mom and dad. What's next on the a la carte egg menu? We've tried butterflies and now reptiles too...
OUCH! My big egg head! I just about cracked it open too. My poor nose has seen 5 too many falls. I guess I must be lucky...I still have all my teeth.
I was busy washing the dog with daddy out back. I guess I was washing more than the dog because I was here and there and here again with the hose. Mom doesn't know the whole story given she was inside when the screaming started, but somehow I got tangled in the hose and BAM! SPLAT! SCREAM! No skin and a swollen nose later I was sitting in the bathtub with an ice pack on my face. Somebody please teach me how to use my arms when I fall. My knees and elbows are looking great...I want my face to match :)
Here is the update...my nose has healed leaving a pink scar deeper than before, but hopefully something that glops of Mederma can handle. Trouble is now I am bruised. LMS called mom just yesterday to let her know that I had fallen yet again. This time, I was just being a boy. Simply, running across the playground when the splat occurred. It brought tears. So sad. Mom was already on her way to get me, but hearing that her baby was sitting in the office with ice on his face so not so settling. And, yes, they probably called because mom is "That Mom." I had not lost any skin, but I did have a knot and a lovely purple bruise from ear to cheekbone. I guess it shook me up because I was silent from the time she picked me up to the last turn on the way home. I didn't answer questions, I didn't say a word, make a request or otherwise. Mom was shocked. This is not my typical behavior...a Sonic run was in order. We added a little positive drama to the trauma. What do you know...I spoke! I immediately said, "oh please, I cute!" This was in response to the "how about a strawberry shake" question. And mom agreed. Even with a purple cheek and a melted icepack stuck to my face I was the cutest kid she knows...inside and out!
PS... A Popsicle is just what you need when a boo-boo makes you cry...hence the ring around my mouth. Cheese!

WESLEY IS 3 LIKE ME!...
After 10 months of waiting, Wesley finally caught up! We celebrated his birthday by jumping ourselves sweaty! We had the whole family jumping including my Lala...it was her first time in the jump house. You could have heard her laughing across the building. I was just happy to see everyone. I wanted to make sure that JJ and Makalya would be there. I have been telling mom for months that I want to go camping again with Makayla and Justin. I love playing with my cousins and this was no exception. Uncle JJ had everyone chunking balls at each other and laughing between grimaces. We ran and ran and ran, jumped, climbed and hollared before settling into the big b-day song for Wes. He wasn't so sure about the attention or the blow up bday chair but he loved his balloons. After much pizza and a heaping pile of cake we headed to Big Grandmas house to open Wesley's gifts. I was so good. I watched him open each one, from real close of course, and made a mental wish wish to boot. Wes was quite impressed with his new cars and his ramp. He loved his new Cars inspired Leapster and even dressed up in his new Batman costume (Dark Knight to be exact.) I already shared my next costume request--Venim--mom is not so sure about the bad guy costumes, but she said she would pass along the message. She may be able to convince me that Wolverine is a step above...I am learning all about the X-Men. In fact, I know lots beacuase I have a new superhero fact book. Mom is learning more every day; I can't believe she did not learn these things growing up with 2 brothers (they liked He Man, GI Joe and Ninja turtles, but enough about that.) It was raining cats and dogs outside and it really wasn't too long before all 3 kiddos were silent. The rest of the fam was shocked. No noise? Where did the kids go? We were busy playing on Leapsters. I made sure I told Lala with just the sweetest head cock and voice that "I did not have one of those." HINT--I am working on being subtle.
Happy Birthday Wesley! We don't even need our costumes...our moms already think we are super!

NO NEED FOR A RULER...
I am as big as my bathtub from end to end. I even have to bend my knees if I want to soak my hair. Can you believe it? Mom remembers when she reached this milestone. I hope I will too. No need to S-T-R-E-T-C-H, I can reach it! I can turn on and off the lights with out a stool and I can reach the sink. I still love to climb, but I am always so impressed when I visit a public restroom and I can get my own soap and water or pull my own paper towels from the dispenser. Big boys have all the fun...at least until their mom says..."whew you are going to have to walk! Mama can not carry you anymore."

READY, SET, SCHOOL!...
What is your favorite school time memory? I love to shop...so what could be better than new school goodies? Grandpa mailed me a new backpack all the way from Arizona. It is covered in insects, fits just right and is none other than super cool. Mom found this Spiderman lunchbox and of course I had to get the eco-friendly water bottles to match. What's on my feet you might ask...those are my new big boy socks. Oh yes, they are for size 11 extra wide feet. I just might be a giant and giant feet need giant shoes. Mine have bright yellow lights. It is kinda like wearing a flashlight under each foot. I just do not think it could get any better than that. This year the start of school came a full 3 weeks earlier than last summer. Mom has been very busy with both taking and teaching courses. I really have not complained all that much though. I had a week or 2 of teary mornings, but all in all I am transitioning well. I am counting down the days until my 4th birthday and the time I will join the afternoon academics class and avoid the nap room. I have thought of every reason I don't need a nap, but no matter my words to nap I go. I am one of the older kiddos in my class now. Most of my buddies have moved on to kindergarten and 1st grade for the new school year. I think it will be good for me to be the big kid on the rug. I will develop my leadership skills. I will get to teach the lessons to the little ones now. Mom laughs though because just last year Ms. Denise shared with mom that I was correcting my big kid tutor. Apparently I knew the letter sounds he didn't. What can I say? I love to learn and I ask enough questions for everyone around me to learn too. Hope you have great school memories. Mom prays that I will remember these days fondly and just continue to develop into a curious, hands on kinda kid. She wants me to want to learn, to explore and to think outside the box if you will. Looks like I am right on track.

(Yes, I am now using the shift key :) Mom only had to show me once. I love big letters!)
"Once upon a time there was a little egg named chick. George (a man) was so, so happy he loved the egg. He loved to meet him and see him for breakfast. He keep cracking and cracking and pop, peep, peck he pop out!
The End!"
(Mom wanted me to extend my story, but I was ready to go outside and play soccer...It is 8:15 in the morning and we have lots of "work" to do.)

2nd DEGREE DISASTER AVOIDED!...
We are busy bees around here. Mom has been in professional development courses for over a week now and we just seem to fly from here to there an back again. With the added drive time I have noticed quite a few changes in our area. For instance, we have new bridges, expanded toll road lanes and lots and lots of very large trucks driving very slow, dumping lots of dirt, lifting concrete beams and pilars, squishing the earth flat and so forth. I make up stories and ask questions about what I see them doing on the daily basis. Today, I was a mechanic. The truck was stuck and it had an "engine problem." Mom played right along. We continued to play as we got out of the car, unloaded the crazy full backseat and moved on to the trunk. Mom was loaded to the tippy top when I called out, "I'm going to fix the engine" and squatted down low. It took all of 1/2 a second for mom to realize what I was going for. I don't know how she knew, but seeing me squat out of the corner of her eye was enough. We avoided a 2nd degree disaster! I jerked my hand back from the exhaust pipe just in time. I was scared out of my skin from mom yelling, "No! Baby don't touch that, but only my thumb felt the heat. WHEW ~ mom dropped everything and we ran inside to run cool water on it for several minutes. Mom did not see any marks...thank God. I had but one question, "why that hot?" Mom tried to explain the workings of the car. TRIED. I recovered quickly and mom and I played with the coolest blocks to grace our doors. This time we had a different hands on approach. We built what we told stories about.
