READY, SET, SCHOOL!...
What is your favorite school time memory? I love to shop...so what could be better than new school goodies? Grandpa mailed me a new backpack all the way from Arizona. It is covered in insects, fits just right and is none other than super cool. Mom found this Spiderman lunchbox and of course I had to get the eco-friendly water bottles to match. What's on my feet you might ask...those are my new big boy socks. Oh yes, they are for size 11 extra wide feet. I just might be a giant and giant feet need giant shoes. Mine have bright yellow lights. It is kinda like wearing a flashlight under each foot. I just do not think it could get any better than that. This year the start of school came a full 3 weeks earlier than last summer. Mom has been very busy with both taking and teaching courses. I really have not complained all that much though. I had a week or 2 of teary mornings, but all in all I am transitioning well. I am counting down the days until my 4th birthday and the time I will join the afternoon academics class and avoid the nap room. I have thought of every reason I don't need a nap, but no matter my words to nap I go. I am one of the older kiddos in my class now. Most of my buddies have moved on to kindergarten and 1st grade for the new school year. I think it will be good for me to be the big kid on the rug. I will develop my leadership skills. I will get to teach the lessons to the little ones now. Mom laughs though because just last year Ms. Denise shared with mom that I was correcting my big kid tutor. Apparently I knew the letter sounds he didn't. What can I say? I love to learn and I ask enough questions for everyone around me to learn too. Hope you have great school memories. Mom prays that I will remember these days fondly and just continue to develop into a curious, hands on kinda kid. She wants me to want to learn, to explore and to think outside the box if you will. Looks like I am right on track.
