GROWING FAST...
It is amazing how fast they grow. At three weeks, Reagan is now weighing in at 8 lbs. 3 oz. He is finally fitting into the clothes that were purchased for him and is growing out of the newborn diapers. Reagan is holding up his head for short periods and can turn his head at will. He holds on to his bottle and paci...that way they don't leave his mouth until he wants them to. Reagan still enjoys swinging, but most of all he loves to be snuggled. His favorite place to be is held close. Reagan still sleeps with mommy. She doesn't mind though. She likes to keep him close by. We are still waiting to see what color his eyes will be...maybe green. His hair is coming in light brown and he is finally starting to get some of those baby rolls. Notice the one under his chin.

MISS JULIA COMES FOR A VISIT...
Julia Millen came for a visit last Sunday. She was born 3 days after me, but I have her beat in size. She wanted to visit...I wanted to sleep. I got a little fussy and then we both decided to exercise our lungs. At least our moms had a chance to talk and compare notes on all that babies do. New moms have a lot of questions.

THE GRANDPAS COME TO VISIT...
Grandpa Taylor and Grandpa Malone came from Dallas and Phoenix respectively, to see their new little grandson at our happy home. We all had a great time visiting and telling stories about the new Taylor of the household. We enjoyed the visit and Reagan definately looks forward to the next one.

We love you all.

KISSY FACE...
Reagan makes many faces, but I like this one the best. He loves to give us kisses.

Reagan gives Daddy kisses.

JUST LIKE MOM!
Reagan left the hospital loving to be wrapped up tight in a little pea pod. These days, he enjoys having his hands free. He usually has his hands up by his face. He covers his eyes and ears.

Just like his mama, Reagan loves being wrapped up in his silky blanket.

REAGAN'S FIRST THANKSGIVING DINNER...
Thankgiving took on a whole new meaning this year. We have so much to be thankful for; friends and family who have supported us and of course each other. Reagan began acting like a little turkey in celebration of the holiday. He made his first series of sounds during dinner. They sounded similar to gobbles. I think he wanted the chocolate pie.

Reagan did not need the turkey to make him sleepy--he did plenty of that on his own.

REAGAN WEIGHS IN...
Today Reagan went to Dr. Schaffer to check his growth in length and weight. This boy is growing fast. At 6.10 pounds, he is almost back to his birth weight.

Regan revisted Dr. Schaffer on November 29th. He has gained 12 ounces and 1.5 inches in length. He is a hungry little man!

Hello everyone! Today Reagan finished his first week of life here on our little planet Earth. He loves sleeping, using the restroom and staying up late at night keeping mommy and daddy awake.

ITS BATH TIME LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!
Well it finally came time to give our little man his first bath at home. It seems that little boys just don't like to take baths, as evidenced in this collection of pictures. Notice in the first picture the calm before the storm.

STAGE 2 of Bathing Our Little Man...
Notice how Reagan is completely unaware of what is about to occur. All the preparations were set up for this new experience for the whole family. Also notice how big Reagan's feet are in the picture below - Mom and Dad are gonna be buying this kid alot of shoes we fear, if he takes after his daddy.

Reagan says: ummm yeah, and I'm just not sure I appreciate what is going on here.

STAGE 3 of Bathing Our Little Man...
Hang on to your seats, we are preparing for lift off. The picture says it all - have a look!

CELEBRATION - NICU GRADUATION....
Today Reagan got to go home! What a wonderful day for Jennifer and me. Reagan had been in the NICU for 5 days after birth to maintain some health issues. We are pleased to announce that Reagan is doing great and we are so thrilled to finally have our little boy at home. We left the hospital on November 20th, 2005 to begin our new life as a family.

Here is a shot of the proud poppa buckling Reagan into his carseat.

THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES...
Reagan slept peacefully the entire ride home because momma was in the backseat keeping him comfortable, and we all listened to soothing music on the radio. It was such a relief to be able to take our little man home and know that all is well.

THE ARRIVAL...
So we pull into the garage after our long, but peaceful ride home, ready to show our son his new room, his new house, and of course his pets - Buster and Sassy. After we got Reagan situated we decided it would be nice to share his first books with him, so Daddy got out the camera, and we read Mr. Brown Sounds and Guess How Much I Love You.

Here is the shot of mommy reading to Reagan for the first time

MORE TO COME...stay tuned

Reagan Gentry Taylor
Reagan was born on November 16, 2005 at 7:12 pm to the proud and loving parents - Preston and Jennifer Taylor in Houston, Texas. Reagan weighed 6 lbs. 11.5 ounces and measured 19 inches at birth. We feel so blessed to have this little man enter our lives and bring so much love into our new family unit. We thank all of you for your love, support and prayers. We could not have made it to this point without you. So, now the question is what do we do with this blog. Well, since blogging is the latest craze on the net, we plan on recording Reagan's saga in life. So stay tuned, because this boy is moving fast.
Love,
The Taylor Family
