ASIAN INFLUENCE...
Mom says I am part Asian. When she was expecting me she had some serious cravings for Daniel Wong's Chinese Food in Bellaire. Everytime she was on that side of town she stopped to eat. I think it has carried over. I still love Chinese food! I ate at my first buffet last month and loved the vegetable rice, chicken with vegetables, eggroll and noodles. I have had it again since then and still loved every bite!
When we visited the Children's Museum last week we had a treat! They were celebrating Asia and the culture. I used chop sticks to move noodles (yarn) and vegetables (colored packing peanuts) from one bowl to another bowl. Mom was impressed with my fine motor skills and I was belly laughing at myself and my accomplishments. I really enjoyed working with the 2 young volunteers too. They made these noodles even more exciting with their added interest. Mom wasn't sure that I would be able to pick anything up with these rookie stix, but I kept trying until I was successful. I did it! Time and again I used the sticks and moved the pieces. When it was time to pick up mom was shocked for a second time. I put all of the noodles in one bowl and all of the vegetables in a different bowl. WOW! That is a high
level skill for a tot! We had lots of fun exploring our Asian influence. Chinese anyone?
