PRINCESS ELDAR...
Her mama says she never smiles for the camera at home, but around here we see her pearly whites quite often. She is our Princess Eldar; our Ella Bella. We have a special connection. We truly love each other and our parents tease more often than not that someday we will be wed. Yes, they really do believe in arranged marriages, but I think they are just trying to select the in-laws. They have been quite careful not to call her my cousin even though her mommy is Aunt Meme. No blood relation here but more than lots of love.
Ella and I play hard. There is tons of pretend play and gender lines are never drawn. We lace our arms with bracelets and take care of the babies while cooking a good meal in the play kitchen. Then we race monster trucks and wrestle all the while throwing toys from one room to the next as our path changes. Our moms use this time to talk as they reorganize my playroom. The visits are never long enough as we run from room to room all weekend. When night time rolls around there are always tears over bed times and sleeping arrangements. We just don't want to be apart. Come morning, our smiles return as I pick out her bows and we start the whole play day again. We wish each visit that our houses were just a quick step away from each other and that we could share in all the daily activities and achievements along the way, but we have something special. We have the ability to grow alongside each other despite the distance. We continually pick right back up where we left off and laugh and smile some more. I am Princess Eldar's "Na-nan" and proud of it.
