A STORY BY REAGAN... RTMTFFFFAQWPOIUYTRFFCBNM,.UFXAEERTYUIIJM.,BBYYYYYYTTWQZQWERY
A note from the teacher...notice the use of punctuation? Oh, he is a child after his mother's heart. I am sure you have noticed how much I love to use these marks ! ; ...
Look even closer at his story. He only used letters. The entire keyboard was in front of him and he omitted the numbers. Reagan clearly recognizes that letters make words and that words build the sentences you use to tell your story. When I asked him to tell me about his story this is what he said:
"A BIG BAD WOLF.
THE BIG BAD WOLF BLOWED THE LITTLE PIGS HOUSE. AND HE BLOW THE LITTLE PIGS HOUSE AND HE BLOW AND HE BLOW HIS BRICKS DOWN. LAST TIME THE 3 LITTLE PIGS CAME TO PLAY AND THE BIG BAD WOLF BLOWED HIS PLAYGROUND DOWN. AND HE CAME IN THE SIDE HOUSE AND HE BLOW THEIR NEWSPAPER AND THE CRAYONS DOWN. AND THE PIGS CRY ALL NIGHT LONG. THE END."
Reagan gave his story a title and ended the story with the words "the end." He took a story that he was familiar with and then expanded it to fit his own creative thoughts. The amazing part here is that Reagan sees himself as an author. He understands that his words and thoughts can be an entertaining story. He appreciates the audience he receives by telling his stories. This teacher is impressed!
