AUNT MEME and ELLA, UNCLE MEAN and ME...
I was happy as could be! They were in town just for me.

:)

CHOO, CHOO...I'M TWO!
I had no time to smile for this picture. I had to make the train sounds, CHOO, CHOO! Mom and dad took the day off to celebrate my birthday with me at the Aquarium. It was an amazing day for me! I got to see all of my favorites--sharks, fish, tigers, birds and frogs! We had fun riding the train, the ferris wheel, the carosel and more. And it was topped off with lunch and dessert--YUM! I took charge of the dessert. I was exhausted and knew that the fun had just begun. Tomorrow would be my party at the zoo and we were all looking forward to it. It was a surf and turf weekend!

MINE!

GLOBE CEREMONY AT LMS...
Here is a new tradition started by my school. Each year will be celebrated by walking around the circle (the sun being in the middle-marks one year of life.) As I walk my teacher, Ms. April reads aloud my accomplishments from birth to 2 years of age. We share my pictures and talk about how I have grown and then later muffins for snack. I was the center of attention and dad was able to share it with me.

I'm 2 and such a big boy now!

CELEBRATING 2!...
This is my first 2 year old celebration (just a week early.) We met Grandpa Taylor and Pepe and Dolly for dinner. They surprised me with this sombraro and a very loud happy birthday sing along. It ended in tears and me throwing the hat down, but mom and dad were able to capture a few smiles later. I AM 2! I am officially a toddler!

Hey. You look funny!

A SERIES OF SILLINESS!...
Mom and dad have tried hard to let me just be ME. They want me to grow up with a sense of adventure, creativity and all the sillies I want. Here is me...just being silly. It is in these moments that mom and dad realize how lucky they are to have all these silly smiles.

This Silly Monkey often drives his parents up the tree.

HALLOWEEN FUN...
This is one of dad's favorite days. Mom doesn't care too much for the spooky stuff so we play it safe and child friendly around our house (dad needs lots of reminders though.)
This year I was a bumble bee...a tickle bee is what we call them around the Taylor house. Ever since I was little mom would point out the bees in books. She called them tickle bees and used her fingers to buzz all around until she found a ticklish spot--my noodle (armpit.) So, this year when mom pulled out the book of costumes I had it narrowed down to 2. I either wanted to be a chef or a tickle bee. I simply said "no" to all the other choices. Mom asked me several different times, but I had my mind made up. TICKLE BEE IT IS!
I had a blast walking the streets in my costume. My buddy Austin was Thomas the Train and we got to walk to a house or 2 together. I wasn't scared at all. I knocked on the door and even invited myself into a couple of houses to look around. I loved getting the candy and then later sampling it all. This was my first encounter with chocolate. Now I know why mom likes it so much. I can't believe I have been missing out on that stuff. By the end of the night I looked like a chocolate covered vampire, but it was worth it. It was fun with the family and just what we needed.

Dad is the tickle bee keeper. Mom and I keeping him buzzing around.

MY FRIEND AUSTIN...
I am so lucky. I have a friend that lives right across the street. Austin and I took our parents to the JV park. We had a blast swinging and sliding and of course digging in the sand. That's not where it ended though...Austin's dad convinced mom to let me go to McDonald's for lunch. It was my first HAPPY MEAL...and I was very happy to eat it. The cheeseburger was just my size and they had my favorite beverage too. APPLE JUICE! I think I love this place!

I'm LOVIN' it!

A "BEE"UTIFUL DAY AT THE ZOO...
Mom, dad, Dot (Uncle Scott) and I headed to the zoo for ZOO BOO. We had a great time, but it was hot! I had to change into some cooler clothes. We rode the carousel at least 5 times in a row and each time enjoyed riding a different animal. Dad and Dot were picky about the ones they rode. They wanted to be Warcraft warriors or something silly like that. I guess mom had 3 kids for the day :)
Family Fun!

A FLASH BACK...
It has taken mom 2 months to update my blog. Those of you who know her well know that this means we have been a bit out of sorts at our house. 2 car accidents, full time jobs and birthday and Christmas have kept us very busy. So, hopefully this entry will be the start of many wonderful updates...
Here I am. The real me. The one who has to stay "fed and watered." Don't let me get hungry or the tears will roll with some all out DRAMA...I come by it naturally. Mom and dad have the same behaviors. I wanted a cookie! Empire Cafe has great big ones...infact I wanted 2 cookies! Here is a side note--the tears to the smile took all of 30 seconds and that is why it was called DRAMA. I got my cookie though and mom got her Irish Creamer Steamer--YUMMY!

Cookies make the world a better place :)

LAKEWOOD MONTESORRI FALL FESTIVAL...

Mom skipped out of work early so we could play together at the LMS fall festival. I wish there would have been cooler weather so my costume would have been more comfortable, but we had plenty of beautiful sunshine instead.
I showed mom all the animals in the petting zoo and even chased a hen around the pen. She let me pet her a few times. I loved looking at the piglets most. They were so squealy.
After washing our hands we took a break and enjoyed a snowcone together. I picked blue. I'm really good at telling you what I want these days. I pick everything from my beverages to the color of my socks. FYI-I like fancy socks these days. My favorites are from Gymboree. They have stripes and dots and pictures of animals too. Mom is working on color coordinating...I just pick the ones I like. Orange pants and red socks is fine with me :)
After a trip or two around the grounds. I was exhausted! I had already had a long day at school so my temper was showing just a bit. I really wanted to climb and play on the big kid jungle gym and mom would not let me. She kept saying something about I would fall and my bumble bee wings would not save me. So, we headed inside (screaming and crying) to gather my things. I decided I would show off all I have learned instead. I showed mom that I know how to sort by color and count to 10. I can use tongs to transfer animals from a basket into a bowl and I can use a flannel board to tell a story with pictures. Mom was impressed! She has some PK kiddos that are still working on these skills when they come to class.
Mom enjoyed spending the time with me at school and I enjoyed sleeping all the way home!
As Mary on Jack's Big Music Show would say, "Whata Day!"

I'm a big boy now! So smart!

DRESSIN' UP...
It's fun to do! I've been trying on everything from my buzzing bee halloween costume to party favors for my big zoobilee party. Mom just keeps snapping pictures. No matter what I put on, she thinks I am the cutest big boy baby around!

It's me!

OLDIES, BUT GOODIES!...
Happy Birthday Grandpa T! Grandpa Taylor is another year older (56)! We met Grandpa, Pepe and Dolly for a Mexican style celebration in Sugarland. I filled up on chips and queso and then topped it all off with a bowl full of cherries. YUM! I was the highlight of the evening calling everyone by name and telling them " I lav ooh." Everyone got loved on :) I'm such a sweet lil wild man! We are glad that Grandpa T is moving back to Houston. We have missed him!

I keep this 'ol group feelin' young :)

PUNKINS TO PARK...
After punkin picking we headed to the park to play. I had a great time and mom and dad did too. Mom always says we get 3 days of perfect weather in Houston. This was one of them! I showed mom and dad all around the park using my words like "I swing", "I drive", "nun, nun" (that's run, run) and many other combinations too. Mom can't believe that I am almost 2 years old and that I can understand and communicate as much as I do. I am a little man now. Mommy's big boy baby.

"I drive"

LIL AGGIE!...
I know the family is divided, but mom would be so proud! She thinks I have the Aggie Heart no matter which university I attend. I am a sweeta peta!

Thanks for my team spirit Kari.

SILLIES IN THE PUNKIN PATCH...

After a good breakfast at Skeeters we headed to the punkin patch by my school in Lakewood. I had a great time climbing aboard the pumpkins, pulling them around in the wagon and then using them as a drum set and later as a set of weights. As it turns out pumpkins are pretty heavy and can be used as a bowling ball too. This of course was my favorite game of all and led to a series of unexpected smiles and laughs for mom. Only trouble is, mom's camera was too slow to capture the moments. She got blurrrrrrrs. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed our time picking out the perfect punkin family. Do you think they look like us? "Mom" and "I" even have curly hair :)

This punkin is a hat and I am singing "habe burbay!"
