A DAY AT THE AQUARIUM...
If you know me, then you know that I LOVE FISH! Mom and dad have agreed that the next time we go out to eat it will be to return to the Aquarium. I had so much to do; so many fish to look at. I made it all the way through dinner with out a peep. That was really nice for mom and dad. I'm such a good boy! We checked out all the tanks and then went outside to take a train thru the shark tank. WHOA! I couldn't take my eyes off those things. They were HUGE! The train ride was a bit bumpy a bit noisey and bit smokey too. I think I prefer a car.
Don't worry fishes, I will see you again real soon. Next stop; the ferris wheel. Just pictures this time; dad thought I might fall out.

I'm not scared...I love all the ocean animals.

ST. THOMAS TROUBLE MAKERS...
My dad is an old man. He just had his 10 year reunion. These are a few of his friends from way back when. I don't know why dad was always in trouble? We had a good time laughing at all the silly stuff people remember. Dad is now playing soccor with some of his high school buddies again. I want to play too!

ROUND 3...
We are on to the 3rd tub (1st tub-different position.) I'm a big boy now and I want to sit up and play with my toys. Mom got a little scared with me trying to sit up in my last tub. I could take a nose dive into the bath tub. Check me out. I like to bathe myself. I even brush my own teeth. Mom has to give me my own washcloth. Oliver the Octopus is still my favorite bath time buddy. Now I can play with the toys and splash in the water. Mom loves getting splashed by all my kicks in the water!

I'M 7 SHORT MONTHS OLD...
Can you believe I am already 7 months old? Mom said it has just flown by. I have changed so much. I have a personality all of my own. I squeal in delight, laugh and smile in response to things and all on my own, giggle at myself and those around me, and so much more. Mom is still waiting to hear me say Ma-ma, but I can say Da-da and Na-na and some other combos too. I can pitch a fit when I do not get what I want and I can get frustrated too. I like to do things myself. I cry or fuss when Mom gets too far away and reach for her when I want her to get me. I have decided that I like Sassy, our cat. She is very soft and she even lets me pull her hair. I'm not so sure about the fat dog Buster yet. He looks a little grumpy to me. I have tried a few new foods. I still love my green beans, but now I eat prunes and bananas too. I prefer the prunes. Mom says they taste like a raisin. So, I guess I like raisins too. I have my last stage one food to try next week--peas. I'm not so sure about those things. Mom saved peas for last on purpose. She doesn't like them either. I'll let you know how it goes.
Mom and I kept very busy on my birthday. We took lots of pictures; You can see the bubbles mom and dad got me in one of my pictures. These are super bubbles--you can catch them, pop them or just watch them land all over everything. Mom finds them all over the house. We visited with Miss Julia and Mandy and I got to eat a sweet potato puff for the first time. I jumped in Julia's Jump-a-roo and then we played with her toys. We are learning to share. We always have so much fun!

3rd DATE AT 32 WEEKS...
WOW! Bubbles are even better than flashing lights! I have been having such a good time at Gymboree. I have been to the gym class and music class too. I really get into the music. Mom and I sing and dance all over the house now...we have to practice. This is a picture of me and Miss Julia at gym. We had already played with all the balls and stretched and climbed and wore our mama's out! When we got home everyone took a nap. I slept for almost 3 hours. Mom needed a nap too. Who would have guessed that Gymboree was a workout for the moms?

HAPPY FATHER' S DAY!...
I have come to realize how important a father is to a child. Dad's are great at all the silly stuff. As I think back on my own childhood I remember all the sounds. The sound of my dad making horse clopping feet for Cinderella's carriage on my bed post, Daffy Duck over and over again. The sound of his keys as he came home and the sound of his bare feet shuffling across the kitchen floor...then the sound of the pantry opening for Excedrin and then the fridge for a swig of DP (right from the bottle of course :) )
My dad always made me a year older in age and giggled under his breath as his tucked his chin, shook his head and said Jenn Penn. If you know my dad then you know this face.
Preston and I have one childhood experience in common...grades were very important to our dad's. They went the extra mile to bribe us into success. Did it work? My dad paid in money. Preston's in food; a trip to Marco's. When I see Preston and his dad together I realize that they have a lot of the same expressions; eye squints and head shakes to be exact. I know Preston enjoyed his boating trips. He learned a lot on the ranch too. Hard work is good for a man :) These are some of the things that I hope Reagan can learn from his dad too.
As I look at Reagan now, I can only imagine what he is learning from his dad. Laughter, and smiles all around him. How to turn an ordinary object into a toy or a game and reinvent the use for everything...more smiles and giggles for these games of course. I'm sure he will remember flying around the house like a plane and then using our island as his landing pad and shifting gears in his race car as he rides across the living room on dad's belly and spins out next to the couch. I hope he will remember all the times that dad just did it different. Different is not always a bad thing...as long as mom is not watching :) I hope he will always hear the gabagools and the voices that his dad makes just for him and know how much he is loved.
So, on that note, to all the Dad's out there--HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! You are loved and appreciated; make the most of this day and everyday with your little one. They will remember all you share.

POOL PARTY...
My little Cous Wesley is almost here so we celebrated with a pool party and baby shower. I got to try out all the pool toys. I floated, I bobed, I surfed and I kick boarded. Then, I just held on. I was exhausted! Mom took me in and dried me off. I was ready for a nap. I love the water and I love my shades!

BASEBALL BABY...
No, big boy! Mom took me to have my pictures made for Dad. We were having a great time too, until I fell out of the mit. Mom, if I am the ball then you should have caught me. She needs a bit more practice on the field. In my real pics I was smiling...mom had to sneek this shot so she could add it to the BLOG. My mom is a nut with that camera.
What are you doing?

RING, RING...
I can't get a signal! Grandma, Grandpa, try calling me. I have LOTS TO SAY these days. DaDa is among some of my new sounds. Mom is so impressed; she talks to me all day. She is just waiting for the MaMa to come slipping out. My new favorite tone is a bit high pitched. Mom thinks it is histarical, but her ears hurt after awhile. Come on over, I want to talk your ear off too...or give me a call. I'll be waiting by the phone.

MORE TO BE DESIRED...
All I can say is that peaches taste better than pears; at least at first taste.
Don't worry, I grew to like them too.
What was that on my tongue?

CARTOONS!...
A few days shy of 7 months old and mom actually let me watch TV. Well, she turned on the cartoons. She did not encourage me to watch it. On Saturday, June 10th, Ready, Set, Learn, High 5 and Peep were on. Mom says cartoons used to be much more interesting. I didn't mind though. I was busy playing and reading my books. I would sneek a peek every now and again, but the sounds were pretty interesting.
TV or toys. I like TOYS!

FOOTBALL CRAZY...
What a great party favor Collin! I love the football! I try to hold it and eat it too. Mom and dad try tossing it to me. I reach for it too. I get so excited! Can you see the football stare in my eyes. I'm working on my glare. Do you think this one will work for me. GRRRR...Give me the ball or I just might TACKLE YOU!
DOWN, SET, HUT!

ZEBRAS WEAR STRIPES TOO...
I'm 31 weeks and still laughing at mom and dad. I think this is a good thing. I love to have the blanket pulled over my head. Dad calls it "big top Reagan." We sing circus songs and then laugh and kick and play peek-a-boo. We have a new game too. It is called "the car wash." Mom and dad hold the blanket they made over my head and move it back and forth like the brushes that wash your car. I belly laugh at that game too. You won't be seeing all my gums for too much longer. I am getting 4 new teeth. WOW! That makes for a chewing, fussing little man Taylor. It makes for a fussy big man Taylor too. What is mom going to do with the Taylor men?

JAIL BREAK...
I think I can get out of here. If I can just reach high enough I can just pop right over the top. You might wonder how I got the idea...there was a tag (a fabric tie) sticking out at the top. I had to try to reach it. Bad news Uncle Gene...you need to come on over to drop my mattress with Daddy. Please call to set an appointment.

EMILY POST...
What is the rule about feet on the table again? I always forget...I just get so excited about all my new foods. I love my peaches! I even saved some for later. I also eat pears and green beans. Green beans are my favorite food yet. Mom tasted them too, but she wasn't smiling like me. Just be happy I like my greens mom. I have a rainbow of colors to choose from and green is my favorite :0)
Movin' to the country...gonna eat me a lot of peaches

Do Giraffes get shots too?...
Yikes! I had my 6 month shots. We were a bit late with those things, but I didn't mind. I had to get over my ear infection first. Lookin' good now. I've been workin' out. Lots of stretching for me. Look what I can do. I'm always playing with my toes. I chew on them too. Mom says most moms just wash hands. We wash hands and feet. I wonder why?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLLIN!...
I went to my very first Birthday Party today. Collin is 1 year old. I saw him eat his cake...I can't wait until my 1st birthday. Collin got a new Radio Flyer wagon. I think I have mom convinced that I need one too. It even has a seat belt! Safety first.
We are going to have a great time this summer. Mom is already planning a trip with Ms. Shelley to take us to the museum. Fun times are right around the corner. I LOVE SUMMER!

SHOP AWAY...
Forget the stroller, I have new wheels these days; the shopping cart. Tired of sitting, I decided to stretch out for a bit. A pillow for my head, feet crossed and proped and a blankie to chew on. I had it made. Shop away!

How did parents ever make it with out one of these?

A DAY IN THE LIFE...
Here is a glimpse of a day in the life of me at 30 weeks. It makes mom tired just lookin' at it. From here to there and back again. You can see from all the pictures that I am one busy boy.
Here are a few insights. I have new sunglasses for the pool. They took some getting used to, but mom and dad insist that I wear them.
My girlfriend, Miss Julia, gave me a new taggie blanket for my baby dedication. I love it...so many choices of what to chew on. And now, I can even play peek-a-boo with mom too.
Notice my feet, I like to keep them crossed. Mom and dad always try to uncross them for me, but just like a rubberband, they pop right back.
See the swirls in my hair. I have 2 in the back. Mom met a lady at school that said that meant her next child would be a girl. No plans for that yet, mom and dad like to spoil me and only me. What a good deal!
I pick up all kinds of things off the floor, including the phone. I am a muscle man! I just wanted to call my grandma. When are you coming back over?
And check out my lips. Mom calls this my old man face. She loves this one the best because my cheeks poke out.
All you parents that are lookin' for some fun; check out the learning table. It makes great sounds and sings to me. Mom and dad like to push the buttons too. Mom likes the spicy pizza and dad like to stir the soup.

Time for a nap!

WHATA DAY!...
After my dedication we headed for Uncle Scott's Graduation. I was pooped! Uncle Gene made a great pillow while 700 plus names were called. I missed Unlce Scott's name, but I celebrated with him afterwards. It stopped raining just in time for us to take some quick pictures outside. Then we were off to Trulucks for dinner. I don't think mom and dad will be taking me back there anytime soon. I was a bit too fidgity. My voice echoes in that place; pretty neat huh. I got lots of piggy back rides, walks outside, bounces, songs and finally another bottle during dinner. I wanted to eat with the fam t
oo.

Congratulations Unkie Munkie!

The B.I.B.L.E.
Now that's the book for me. Aunt Melissa and Uncle Gene got me my first interactive Bible. I have chewed on it for hours. I love the bright pictures. Did you know that God made my favorite insect? The bumble bee. This bible has a bumble bee on a string. What a great idea!
I think they are ready for their own little me :)

JESUS LOVES ME...
And so does my family. I was dedicated a Jersey Village Baptist Church on May 28th. I had lots of friends and family there to support and pray for me and promise that they too would help bring me up to be Christian young man.
Family bonds.
