TURKEY DAY...TAKE 1...
The year has flown by and here we are celebrating Thanksgiving once again. My first Thanksgiving is such an awesome memory for mom. She likes to think about the first time she made it out of the house with me. Thanksgiving was meant to be at Mawmaws house that year, but I was less than 2 weeks old and mom was protecting me. Thanksgiving was scaled down to 6 that year. It turned out to be the day I made my first sounds. I sounded just like a turkey gobbling. Mom's so sweet baby.
This year was a whole new adventure and we of course have so much to be thankful for. Mom tried to throw in bits and pieces of old and new traditions for the Taylor house. She wants me to be able to look back and remember the "we always did..." So we were all inlisted starting with Mom and me making pies to take to Lala's house. Dad was a bit nervous and suggested that mom just buy Mrs. Smith's fruit pies--what was he thinking? He said he did not want mom to be embarrassed when no one wanted to eat them...so sad. Mom was bound and determined to try it. She pulled out the Southern Living Magazines and was on the hunt for 2 great recipes. We had fun! We made a banana pudding pie and a candybar pie. I was in charge of crushing up pretzels for the pretzel crust and Nilla Waffers for the other one. What a job! I think we should make pies more often! It took all day, 2 trips to the store and one goof, but we did it and they were yummy! Dad of course had to take back his comments and eat lots of pie to make up for his lack of faith in mom. See dad...mom's can do anything! They are SUPER WOMAN!
Then we were ready for noodles! Mom inlisted dad to help dye and dry them. It was a whole new experience for him. Welcome to Pre-K dad! This was my Thanksgiving day craft. It was my job to string them into necklaces and then make my headdress too. I was a little Indian boy all day. The fam tried calling me Indian Chief, but I quicky replied "I'm not a Chief just an Indian and that's all." I love dress up, but not turkey day food. Just give me a plate of cranberry sauce, greenbeans and rolls. The relish tray is my friend. Happy Thanksgiving!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!...I'm 3!...
Mom had big plans for the first day of my 3rd year, but this year I was old enough to voice my own wishes...and she listened. I wanted to stay at home and play with all my new toys. There were some great ones and I still had gifts from mom and dad to open. I was thrilled when I opened the long awaited cash register. I first spotted this thing in a teacher store mom took me to--I knew exactly what I wanted for my birthday and I got it :) I love counting the money and acting out transactions. Of course we had to go out to celebrate at dinner. I ordered up a Chili's cheeseburger with pickles and tomato and ketchup...no lettuce please. I enjoyed each bite leading up to the chocolate chip molton. YUM!
Stay tuned for my 3 year old details...

HELP...I CAN'T FIND THE BATH WATER!...
Bath time is fun time at our house. I can build a pirate ship, use squirt toys, write a message, change colors of mystery toys, fill buckets and more. In between the play mom finds time to bathe me--I help too. I have my own washrag and scrub parts of me and parts of my toys too. The puppy just might be the cleanest toy in the tub. I make decisions too. I have decided that singing a song while dunking your head to wash your hair is much better than pouring a bucket of water over your head--at least on most days. I take a bit of convincing sometimes. I practice swimming strokes too. I reach and pull, kick, blow bubbles and hold my breath. Mom and I try our best to keep the water in the tub, but what can I say? Splashing is fun and I am all about silly! Silly hair is my favorite followed by catching the tub tornados that appear as the water leaves the tub. I'm fast!

BIRTHDAY'S GALORE!...
Some of my closest friends have birthdays within days of mine. We started of celebrating my 3rd birthday and followed it up with Landon's, Will's and Julia's. It was a busy 2 weeks--we hunted for treasure at my pirate party, flipped and flopped at gymnastics with Landon, bowled and climbed with Will and then bounced our selves silly with Princess Julia. We all had so much fun. Mom enjoyed every minute of talking with the moms and I just played, played, played with all the friends. Happy birthday friends!

ARRRRR...AYE AM 3!...
Just call me Captain Reagan. All my mates met me to celebrate my 3rd birthday. I must admit I did threaten them with having to walk the plank, but there were perks. We sailed the ship, dug for buried treasure and with much effort busted open a treasure box for an edible prize. I loved the theme this year and was thrilled to come in costume. It took the whole family to set the stage, but we made it fighting the wind and cold all along. Brrrr! It suited mom just fine though. It reminded her of bringing me home from the hospital. She went to the hospital to have me in capri pants and a no sleeve shirt and left with me in tow wearing a sweater. November just lends itself to crazy weather...this weekend it was beautiful as long as you did not blow away. So, we dropped our ancor and played pirates in celebration of me turing 3! Yarrrr check out the video for pictures of my friends and fam enjoying the day with me.

A WEEKEND WITH "ELDA"...
I'm in love! Elda is it for me. I want to hold her, sit with her and play with her. I shared my old toys and a select few of my new ones too. I had to make sure that she would not eat them. She chews on stuff--that's what babies do. I learned so much about babies that I decided I would be a little baby like Elda for the day. I layed in her pack-n-play, held her snuggle bunny and read the Love Bug book that makes mom come to tears. I talked like a baby, crawled like a baby and rocked with mom and Meme too. I found out soon enough that big boys have more fun. Elda has to eat baby food and take a whole lot of naps. I cried when she had to go lay down--I wanted her to play, but babies cry and fuss when they are tired and she had a lot of tears. I waited so patiently for her to wake up and when she did I yelled and cheered. I was the first one in the room to greet her and ready to help change diapers and pick out pink bows for her hair. This is one ponytail I like. Mom and Meme are praying that it will be Reagan and Elda forever!

LET US KNOW YOU ARE HERE...
Calling all readers!...We want to know you are there. Leave us a message in the comments portion of this post. Mom would write and read just for us, but we would like to know who our other audience is too.
Side note...you can pick a song on the player just hit the arrows to the left or right. We now have 3 and I think they're great. Keep checking back to read more fun information and hear some music that inspires mom. She's such a girl! By the way, we love to read your blogs too. We check out pictures and read comments daily at our house. You're not the only ones :)

35 month, just shy of 36 month, HAPPENINGS...
Have a few laughs and then check back...this entry is just getting started :)
We recently brought my wedding portrait home from my mom's house. I guess Reagan had never really taken notice of it until it was here at our home. It was laying frame and all on the couch--he just stared at it then looked at me and said, "Mommy, you a princess? So pretty." He walked right over to me, held my cheeks and kissed my eyes. I could not be more in love with this child. He makes such an effort to make others around him feel special and wow! He melts my heart. FYI--I later asked him if I was still a princess and the reply was sadly "no." A cheerful no, but still no. I guess the title of mom trumps princess anyway.
We were driving home from school today and Reagan said, "Where is Kroger?" We were approaching the store and I told him the directions. (He really likes to hear them verbalized these days. He repeats them as we drive right alongside his arm waving and finger pointing) I asked him why he needed to know where Kroger was and he began to list all the things we needed to shop for..."blackberries, strawberries, yellow cheese, white cheese...what else?" Yes, we were out of all of the above and he remembered all of his favorite things. Needless to say...we stopped in and shopped for them all.
Reagan is so excited about his pirate party. He has been naming friends and inquiring if they will be at his party. He tells everyone we meet that he is having a "Pipit poty." :)
UPDATED 11/22/08:
Reagan loves to acknowledge the fact that he is growing up. Sad for me, but very true and exciting for him. He constantly compares things that big boys do to things that babies do. Here is his latest quote, "Mommy, I'm ENORMOUS! Measure me." followed by a series of the following..."When I grow bigger like daddy, I have nuts!" For reference he is referring to peanuts. He has not had them yet so they seem very interesting to him...something to look forward to. "Coke is not for babies and big boys go tee-tee and poo-poo in the potty. Babies go tee-tee in the pants and go poo-poo in the pants. Not me!" This of course is followed by a list of all his friends that are potty trained and those who are not quite there yet. Even 10 month old Ella is on the list. Then there is the 2nd stage of sad for mommy as Reagan says, "I grow bigger and bigger and you no hold me anymore. I hold you." I made him promise that last part again. Reagan is 41 inches long and just about 42 pounds. He really isn't stretching the truth by much, but I will do my best to hold on and pick up as long as I can. He will always be my little baby. When he was just born people were tempted to call him peanut. I would always whisper to him that he was more special than a peanut...he was a cashew (mommy's favorite.) We even tease daddy that he is a Brazil nut. Daddy likes to think he is an Almond though. Three years have quickly come and gone, but I can still play with Reagan calling him peanut. He will quickly comment back, "I'm not a peanut! I'm a cashew!" I love this kid--he really listens to his mommy! And to top it all off he is loving all the healthy foods these days. All it took was a little training and he is all about the veggies; especially the broccoli. He thinks it is Spiderman food. Every time he takes a big bite (and he will eat the whole serving) he wants me to feel his "muh-dul" His face is ever so serious during inspection and each time it is certain--"THEY HAVE GROWN!"
FUNNY-TAKE 2...
Last night as we were laying in bed I asked Reagan if he knew where God lived? I was hoping to tell him that we always have a friend in Jesus and that we are never alone. He watches after us and loves us everyday. Well, I did not get to that because Reagan only paused for a minute and then replied, He lives "In my elbow!" I think I have some explaining to do..."I am sure He will be moving to your heart before too long.." :)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!...
Mom and dad themed up to match me and notice the hat--it makes it into the costume theme each year. 3 years a running...how long can they keep this up? We started the evening by Trunk or Treating with Mawmaws at our church. There was a large turn out and I got lots of great treats and decorated a pumpkin too. Mawmaws always spends Halloween with me and she doesn't even steal my candy. That's a great grandma! I can't say the same for mom and dad...they were both taking pieces.
Then it was time for a costume change! Lala ordered this suit for my dress up box. Lucky for me it came in just in time. Daddy brought it home today! I zipped myself into my new Spiderman suit and met Austin for some door to door Trick or Treating. We had so much fun walking the streets. Double Spidy trouble, but oh so sweet! I flew around the block and shot webs too. I loved being Spiderman and lucky for me the night was not over yet. We headed to Julia's Mimi's house for a party. I ate yet another cupcake and posed with a princess too. By the end of the evening we were ready to sleep and looking forward to the time change too. I refused to surender the suit though. Mom and dad had to pry me out of the suit and promise that come sunrise I could wear it again...and I did! Saturday brought yet another Halloween party with the neighbors and a visit from Uncle Dusty too. We were busy, but we were having family fun and that is the "spirit" we love most!
