WATCH ME LEARN...
Mom keeps saying how observant I am and now others are noticing too. You just need to show me once and I can repeat it. I'm great at picking up on patterns too.
Here are a few of my favorites. I just discovered that I can pull the blocks out of the cube. The blue one is my favorite. I still love my books. I giggle and laugh everytime mom reads to me. Some of my books have textures on the pages. I try to feel all the books now. I might get lucky!
Grandma Malone is looking for a new floor for her house. Mom and I went shopping with her. I got a tired of looking at tile so mom and I headed for the carpet section. They have lots to choose from. It turns out that they make carpet just for kids. Hot pink, purple, teal, lime green and on and on. I had so much to look at and feel. Mom pulled out three different sample books. They had a big carpet square on top and then lots of little samples underneath. Mom lifted up one of the squares to show me what I could see under it. She was shocked when I turned around and did the same thing to the other two samples. I even found one that could be a flip flap on the wall. Mom knew I was a smart little guy!

SLOW DOWN...YOU'RE GROWING TO FAST...
Mom, putting a turtle on my shirt will not slow me down! I am a boy on the go these days. I have found my voice and all that comes with it. If you give me a high note, I can match it. If you scream I can do it too. I love these games. I am talking more too. I say things like Dadum and baba and mum and mama when I really want her attention.
Mom is having a hard time taking pictures...they all come out blurry. I am always moving, kicking, rolling, and as you can see in these pics looking around. I like to help feed myself these days too. My hands are always getting messy and by the way, I don't like mom to wash my face. I can do it myself with my bib.
I can do the army crawl and really roll around. I love trying to fit under the couch and the chairs. Did you know there is strings under there? I love finding little things like that! I have also been trying to stand more. Mom helps, of course. She holds my pockets up so I can dance around, bend my knees and bop. I like trying to climb up onto the couch. You just wait till I can do it on my own. I can pull myself from a sitting postion through to laying on my belly and I love the added independence.
My hair is finally getting long enough to curl. Check out my pics. I even sported a hawk the other day. Those curls just would not lay flat. Mom thought it was pretty cute, but I'm sure others thought I had bed head.
I am working on my 5th and 6th tooth now. I almost have one of those guys in. THESE THINGS HURT!!!

CHOP, CHOP!...
It is my first time to use chop sticks. Uncle Jeff tried to teach me to use them like drum sticks on the table. I just liked to chew on them. Mom and dad decided that was not such a good idea. So, I ate my baby food and puffs instead . The rest of the fam ate the food from PF Changs. I let Uncle Jeff eat one of my puffs...I think he liked it. Sweet potato is the best. Look, I even got a fortune cookie!

Why so many pictures, can't I just enjoy my food?

4 GENERATIONS...
I love my Pepe (My great-grandpa...you pronounce his name pep-ee)! He has stretchy skin. I like to pull it, but I don't think he enjoyed it too much. My Pepe is 90! He is moving back to Houston soon...can't wait to see you again Pepe. Grandpa, when are you moving back?
I was pretty happy exploring the bed and breakfast in Yorktown. They had great fringe on the pillows. I scooted and pulled my way acoss the floor, knocked my head on the coffee table and eventually showed everyone that I could say "Mama." I actually said it 2 times, I had to make sure everyone could hear me. It was a good visit with all my great aunts and my Uncle Dusty. Can you believe that I am 36 weeks old? For all those wondering...I did have pants...dad thought I was too hot and he stripped me down. I looked good!

I don't look like these guys, do I?

NO, NO, NO!...
Big boys cry too...esp. when they do not get their way. You better make sure that you feed me on time and keep me occupied with with the toys I want. Don't try to take the phone or remote control away from me. Or, you might really get me going. I love those grown up toys. They are the only things, beside the cat, that I will try to crawl to. Mom won't let me roll under the couch either...now I'm really mad!

WHAT'S UP DOC?...
I love Carrots!

Quick Grandma, don't let mom see.

GOT GAME?...
35 weeks and already I GOT GAME! Here I am in my new basketball shorts. I wanted to look like my daddy. They sure are slippery though. I had a little trouble keeping them on with all the scooting I do. I WANT TO CRAWL SO BAD!!! I can get to my arms and knees and rock, but no moving from point A to B yet. Frustration is setting in...mom is working hard to keep me occupied.
My curls are coming in too. My hair is a bit "puffy" as mom says. No scissors yet. Mom and dad want to see how many curls I can get first.
I can make lots of neat sounds too. In addition to my "Indian chant" I can do fake coughs too.
I am trying to pull up on things and I always have my eye on my mom. She can't get too far away. I reach out for objects and pull them to me and climb my way up my mom's shirt to get back to her. Busy boy!

A slam dunk for RGT!

RED, WHITE, AND BLUE AT MOJO's...
We spent the 4th of July in Bellaire. Mojo Mama's Coffee House is up and running and I had to help out. In my spare time I even got to see a parade. I was not to happy when the firetruck came by. Mom had to reassure me that I was okay...my ears were hurting! Aunt Kaci got lots of candy. All I got was a pinwheel. When do I move on to the sweets?

BANG, BANG...
On the pan, baby! Mom and I are finding all kinds of new ways to play music with things around the house. This is my "drum." I just discovered that if I bang it on my head it makes a different sound than when I use my hands. I am also experimenting with my voice--high and low sounds.

Drum or hat?

BEACH DAY...
Okay, this one was staged too. But as you can see, I am a good sport. Dad says mom is a nerd :) I can't wait to get to the beach and mom can't wait to take me! I have all my gear. My shark hat, my sunscreen, my puffs for a snack, a relaxing chair and my fish blanket. If mom brings my toys, shovel and pail, a few spare diapers and a couple bottles I think I can make it there or anywhere. Anyone up to catch some waves next week? I am.
Check out my new moves. I discovered that I can scoot backwards. Mom says I look a bit like a gymnist and dad says he is signing me up. I tilt my head back and theen push with my feet so I can move backward; kind of like a crab.
I can sit by myself now and I am working hard to start crawling. My arms and legs are moving fast. I just have to figure out how to stay on my hands and knees when I move. It won't be too long now.

Lookin' forward to my real beach day

BACK TO THE GYM...
I'm 33 weeks old and back at the gym. I met a new friend today. His name is Ryan. My mom used to work with his mom. Pretty neat, huh? I get to do all kinds of cool stuff at the gym. I play peek-a-boo with a scarf and work on my stability and reaching for things inside the green tube. I roll balls with my friends and try to eat them too. I do push ups on the slide and much, much more. It was a good day.

Back at the gym with my buds.

A DAY AT THE AQUARIUM...
If you know me, then you know that I LOVE FISH! Mom and dad have agreed that the next time we go out to eat it will be to return to the Aquarium. I had so much to do; so many fish to look at. I made it all the way through dinner with out a peep. That was really nice for mom and dad. I'm such a good boy! We checked out all the tanks and then went outside to take a train thru the shark tank. WHOA! I couldn't take my eyes off those things. They were HUGE! The train ride was a bit bumpy a bit noisey and bit smokey too. I think I prefer a car.
Don't worry fishes, I will see you again real soon. Next stop; the ferris wheel. Just pictures this time; dad thought I might fall out.

I'm not scared...I love all the ocean animals.

ST. THOMAS TROUBLE MAKERS...
My dad is an old man. He just had his 10 year reunion. These are a few of his friends from way back when. I don't know why dad was always in trouble? We had a good time laughing at all the silly stuff people remember. Dad is now playing soccor with some of his high school buddies again. I want to play too!

I've had enough

ROUND 3...
We are on to the 3rd tub (1st tub-different position.) I'm a big boy now and I want to sit up and play with my toys. Mom got a little scared with me trying to sit up in my last tub. I could take a nose dive into the bath tub. Check me out. I like to bathe myself. I even brush my own teeth. Mom has to give me my own washcloth. Oliver the Octopus is still my favorite bath time buddy. Now I can play with the toys and splash in the water. Mom loves getting splashed by all my kicks in the water!

Reagan sits upright in the tub

I'M 7 SHORT MONTHS OLD...
Can you believe I am already 7 months old? Mom said it has just flown by. I have changed so much. I have a personality all of my own. I squeal in delight, laugh and smile in response to things and all on my own, giggle at myself and those around me, and so much more. Mom is still waiting to hear me say Ma-ma, but I can say Da-da and Na-na and some other combos too. I can pitch a fit when I do not get what I want and I can get frustrated too. I like to do things myself. I cry or fuss when Mom gets too far away and reach for her when I want her to get me. I have decided that I like Sassy, our cat. She is very soft and she even lets me pull her hair. I'm not so sure about the fat dog Buster yet. He looks a little grumpy to me. I have tried a few new foods. I still love my green beans, but now I eat prunes and bananas too. I prefer the prunes. Mom says they taste like a raisin. So, I guess I like raisins too. I have my last stage one food to try next week--peas. I'm not so sure about those things. Mom saved peas for last on purpose. She doesn't like them either. I'll let you know how it goes.
Mom and I kept very busy on my birthday. We took lots of pictures; You can see the bubbles mom and dad got me in one of my pictures. These are super bubbles--you can catch them, pop them or just watch them land all over everything. Mom finds them all over the house. We visited with Miss Julia and Mandy and I got to eat a sweet potato puff for the first time. I jumped in Julia's Jump-a-roo and then we played with her toys. We are learning to share. We always have so much fun!

3rd DATE AT 32 WEEKS...
WOW! Bubbles are even better than flashing lights! I have been having such a good time at Gymboree. I have been to the gym class and music class too. I really get into the music. Mom and I sing and dance all over the house now...we have to practice. This is a picture of me and Miss Julia at gym. We had already played with all the balls and stretched and climbed and wore our mama's out! When we got home everyone took a nap. I slept for almost 3 hours. Mom needed a nap too. Who would have guessed that Gymboree was a workout for the moms?

HAPPY FATHER' S DAY!...
I have come to realize how important a father is to a child. Dad's are great at all the silly stuff. As I think back on my own childhood I remember all the sounds. The sound of my dad making horse clopping feet for Cinderella's carriage on my bed post, Daffy Duck over and over again. The sound of his keys as he came home and the sound of his bare feet shuffling across the kitchen floor...then the sound of the pantry opening for Excedrin and then the fridge for a swig of DP (right from the bottle of course :) )
My dad always made me a year older in age and giggled under his breath as his tucked his chin, shook his head and said Jenn Penn. If you know my dad then you know this face.
Preston and I have one childhood experience in common...grades were very important to our dad's. They went the extra mile to bribe us into success. Did it work? My dad paid in money. Preston's in food; a trip to Marco's. When I see Preston and his dad together I realize that they have a lot of the same expressions; eye squints and head shakes to be exact. I know Preston enjoyed his boating trips. He learned a lot on the ranch too. Hard work is good for a man :) These are some of the things that I hope Reagan can learn from his dad too.
As I look at Reagan now, I can only imagine what he is learning from his dad. Laughter, and smiles all around him. How to turn an ordinary object into a toy or a game and reinvent the use for everything...more smiles and giggles for these games of course. I'm sure he will remember flying around the house like a plane and then using our island as his landing pad and shifting gears in his race car as he rides across the living room on dad's belly and spins out next to the couch. I hope he will remember all the times that dad just did it different. Different is not always a bad thing...as long as mom is not watching :) I hope he will always hear the gabagools and the voices that his dad makes just for him and know how much he is loved.
So, on that note, to all the Dad's out there--HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! You are loved and appreciated; make the most of this day and everyday with your little one. They will remember all you share.

POOL PARTY...
My little Cous Wesley is almost here so we celebrated with a pool party and baby shower. I got to try out all the pool toys. I floated, I bobed, I surfed and I kick boarded. Then, I just held on. I was exhausted! Mom took me in and dried me off. I was ready for a nap. I love the water and I love my shades!
