A WEEKEND WITH "ELDA"...
I'm in love! Elda is it for me. I want to hold her, sit with her and play with her. I shared my old toys and a select few of my new ones too. I had to make sure that she would not eat them. She chews on stuff--that's what babies do. I learned so much about babies that I decided I would be a little baby like Elda for the day. I layed in her pack-n-play, held her snuggle bunny and read the Love Bug book that makes mom come to tears. I talked like a baby, crawled like a baby and rocked with mom and Meme too. I found out soon enough that big boys have more fun. Elda has to eat baby food and take a whole lot of naps. I cried when she had to go lay down--I wanted her to play, but babies cry and fuss when they are tired and she had a lot of tears. I waited so patiently for her to wake up and when she did I yelled and cheered. I was the first one in the room to greet her and ready to help change diapers and pick out pink bows for her hair. This is one ponytail I like. Mom and Meme are praying that it will be Reagan and Elda forever!

LET US KNOW YOU ARE HERE...
Calling all readers!...We want to know you are there. Leave us a message in the comments portion of this post. Mom would write and read just for us, but we would like to know who our other audience is too.
Side note...you can pick a song on the player just hit the arrows to the left or right. We now have 3 and I think they're great. Keep checking back to read more fun information and hear some music that inspires mom. She's such a girl! By the way, we love to read your blogs too. We check out pictures and read comments daily at our house. You're not the only ones :)

35 month, just shy of 36 month, HAPPENINGS...
Have a few laughs and then check back...this entry is just getting started :)
We recently brought my wedding portrait home from my mom's house. I guess Reagan had never really taken notice of it until it was here at our home. It was laying frame and all on the couch--he just stared at it then looked at me and said, "Mommy, you a princess? So pretty." He walked right over to me, held my cheeks and kissed my eyes. I could not be more in love with this child. He makes such an effort to make others around him feel special and wow! He melts my heart. FYI--I later asked him if I was still a princess and the reply was sadly "no." A cheerful no, but still no. I guess the title of mom trumps princess anyway.
We were driving home from school today and Reagan said, "Where is Kroger?" We were approaching the store and I told him the directions. (He really likes to hear them verbalized these days. He repeats them as we drive right alongside his arm waving and finger pointing) I asked him why he needed to know where Kroger was and he began to list all the things we needed to shop for..."blackberries, strawberries, yellow cheese, white cheese...what else?" Yes, we were out of all of the above and he remembered all of his favorite things. Needless to say...we stopped in and shopped for them all.
Reagan is so excited about his pirate party. He has been naming friends and inquiring if they will be at his party. He tells everyone we meet that he is having a "Pipit poty." :)
UPDATED 11/22/08:
Reagan loves to acknowledge the fact that he is growing up. Sad for me, but very true and exciting for him. He constantly compares things that big boys do to things that babies do. Here is his latest quote, "Mommy, I'm ENORMOUS! Measure me." followed by a series of the following..."When I grow bigger like daddy, I have nuts!" For reference he is referring to peanuts. He has not had them yet so they seem very interesting to him...something to look forward to. "Coke is not for babies and big boys go tee-tee and poo-poo in the potty. Babies go tee-tee in the pants and go poo-poo in the pants. Not me!" This of course is followed by a list of all his friends that are potty trained and those who are not quite there yet. Even 10 month old Ella is on the list. Then there is the 2nd stage of sad for mommy as Reagan says, "I grow bigger and bigger and you no hold me anymore. I hold you." I made him promise that last part again. Reagan is 41 inches long and just about 42 pounds. He really isn't stretching the truth by much, but I will do my best to hold on and pick up as long as I can. He will always be my little baby. When he was just born people were tempted to call him peanut. I would always whisper to him that he was more special than a peanut...he was a cashew (mommy's favorite.) We even tease daddy that he is a Brazil nut. Daddy likes to think he is an Almond though. Three years have quickly come and gone, but I can still play with Reagan calling him peanut. He will quickly comment back, "I'm not a peanut! I'm a cashew!" I love this kid--he really listens to his mommy! And to top it all off he is loving all the healthy foods these days. All it took was a little training and he is all about the veggies; especially the broccoli. He thinks it is Spiderman food. Every time he takes a big bite (and he will eat the whole serving) he wants me to feel his "muh-dul" His face is ever so serious during inspection and each time it is certain--"THEY HAVE GROWN!"
FUNNY-TAKE 2...
Last night as we were laying in bed I asked Reagan if he knew where God lived? I was hoping to tell him that we always have a friend in Jesus and that we are never alone. He watches after us and loves us everyday. Well, I did not get to that because Reagan only paused for a minute and then replied, He lives "In my elbow!" I think I have some explaining to do..."I am sure He will be moving to your heart before too long.." :)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!...
Mom and dad themed up to match me and notice the hat--it makes it into the costume theme each year. 3 years a running...how long can they keep this up? We started the evening by Trunk or Treating with Mawmaws at our church. There was a large turn out and I got lots of great treats and decorated a pumpkin too. Mawmaws always spends Halloween with me and she doesn't even steal my candy. That's a great grandma! I can't say the same for mom and dad...they were both taking pieces.
Then it was time for a costume change! Lala ordered this suit for my dress up box. Lucky for me it came in just in time. Daddy brought it home today! I zipped myself into my new Spiderman suit and met Austin for some door to door Trick or Treating. We had so much fun walking the streets. Double Spidy trouble, but oh so sweet! I flew around the block and shot webs too. I loved being Spiderman and lucky for me the night was not over yet. We headed to Julia's Mimi's house for a party. I ate yet another cupcake and posed with a princess too. By the end of the evening we were ready to sleep and looking forward to the time change too. I refused to surender the suit though. Mom and dad had to pry me out of the suit and promise that come sunrise I could wear it again...and I did! Saturday brought yet another Halloween party with the neighbors and a visit from Uncle Dusty too. We were busy, but we were having family fun and that is the "spirit" we love most!

PUNKINS...
We had our first picture with the punkins before I was born. I was the round lil punkin in mommy's belly. We try to get a family picture with the punkins every year. For four years we have been successful, but this year was tough. October just flew on by with something or many things happening each weekend. Plus, we were SICK! All 3 of us are on antibiotics on top of mom having the stomach flu. It has been 3 weeks of sick and then extra sick around our house. We are praying we all feel like ourselves again soon.
Mom and I took a sick day inorder to get to our doctors. Inbetween appointments mom took me by the pumpkin patch. I was shocked to hear that this is where some of my friends go to school. I was quick to ask "and me too?" If only school always had a series of Seseme Street themed punkin heads. I think I would always be smiling. I searched every flat for the perfect punkin and I finally found one--A HUGE ONE! We loaded it up in the wagon and I pulled it all the way to the van. Mom was determined not to break tradition and of course make good use of the beautiful weather. Sick days have to be fun days too!

THE WHOLE GLAM FAM...SO LUCKY...
What started as a 65th birthday celebration for Great Aunt Pat and Cousin Joe turned into family reunion. It was great to meet and greet family, some of which mom has not seen in years. We filled our bellies with the best and then split up. Some headed off to exercise their bods with red neck golf and others their brains with a game of Shanghai. I took the golf route before one of the balls hit back--right across the bridge of my nose, twice! After some snuggles I was off chasing cats, playing ball and racing cars down the driveway with my cousin Damien also known as "Big Mike" to me. I broke in my new pair of shoes with holes in the toe and made memories sure to last. We had a blast to the end only stopping to refuel on Sprite, strawberries and cheese. It was a day of laughs, swapping stories, a few teary eyes and lots of hugs; a day that we all hope comes around more often. We are so lucky to have each other...we just wish we were all a little closer. We love you all and pray God blesses each of you with HIS best until next time.

FALL FESTIVAL...EVEN BETTER THIS YEAR!...
I was so excited; I was a guinea pig all week! My teacher aids were in charge of the face painting station at the festival and I came home with all kinds of fancy designs. There was a martian, a unicorn, a butterfly and now I am adorned with a snake and A SHARK! I must admit that my mom was not thrilled by the body art. On day 1 she thought I had been tattooed! Plus, come 7:00 when it was time to wash I was in tears. I did not want to lose my designs. Mom had to promise there were more to come day 2. They sure did make me smile. This year the fall festival at school was even more fun! I have new friends in class and was able to introduce a few of them to mom. Kennedi is my new best gal pal at school. We look out for each other and play, play, play. I am Spiderman and she is Supergirl. What a team! Kennedi's mom says that I am all she talks about at home (I say sweet stuff about her too.) It may be love and we could have had a date, but I wanted to ride the big slide and Kennedi's mom said no way...she had on heels and a dress. Too bad for her...the slide won...see you in the playyard on Monday! Check out my glasses--scary eyes as I call them. I played game after game and won great prizes. I pinned the nose on the jack-o-lantern, knocked over cans with bean bags and threw balls through holes for these things--I've got a great aim! I even found a few farm animals to wrangle with. I love the bunny and described the donkey as rough and the piglet as cute. The duck on the other hand is just mean! It bit me! That was it for the petting farm. We were off to a new adventure and the cookie walk took the cake! I am a real puzzle solver these days. I figured out that they called spiders as the cookie winners and what-do-you-know...I hopped right on over to a spider! Ta-da! I was a winner! So, if ever you wonder what a shark likes to eat; the answer is snowcones and Cookies! YUMMY! Happy fall yall!

ZOO BOO!...
Another year of fun with friends and fam at the Houston Zoo. Mom loves to hear me call the animals by name and remark on their size or attributes. This year the keepers gave the animals pumpkins to enjoy for enrichment and snacks. We saw bears, lizards, elephants, giraffes and more eating pumpkins and loving them! They were so lively and enjoyed interacting with me and others as they walked by. I picked my own pumpkin to bring home to the Taylor pumpkin patch. We are up to 2 mediums and 1 tiny...calling large pumpkins...we need large pumpkins!

PINKALICIOUS!...
Pink, pink, pink...it is still my favorite color. I like orange too, but pink is positively perfect! It is always the first color I pick up. Mom and dad took me to see the musical--I was surrounded by a sea of every shade of pink you can imagine. Dad even sported a pink shirt--don't ask about mom. Her pink could not be found. I enjoyed reading the book so much mom thought it would be fun to watch it come to life; and it was! Okay, I admit, dad spent most of the time looking at his iphone, but mom and I were captivated. When the show ended we had a hankering for cupcakes. Mom teased that I might turn colors just like Pinkalicious--I was not to fond of that idea. So, we opted for Halloween cupcakes instead. We called mine a spider--we now realize it was a warewolf. Mom and dad turned orange with pumpkin cookies. I ate every bite of the frosting before handing over the cake to mom. Maybe eating too many cupcakes is not such a bad idea :)

SHARK BAIT!...
A Halloween preview: angry shark vs smiley shark. I love dressing up and my latest costume is all the rave around my house. I picked it out from a long list of options. I could have been a pirate, Spiderman or a dinosaur, but shark fit me to a "T!" Infact I gave the neighbors quite a fright. I napped, ate and played in my costume. I even wore it to Chili's for a family dinner. I'm so glad mom and dad allow me to express my creative side! They love my imagination at work!

Watch out! "I'M GONNA EAT YOU!"

BEFORE, DURING and AFTER...
I am 4.5 haircuts in. The half was due to the little trim I gave my curls a few months back. Mom knows it is time for a cut when I start protesting washing and styling. As much as I love playing with and holding onto mom's hair I am not a fan of people playing with mine. Shorter curls make it easier on both of us. Besides that, you would never believe how long my hair is straight! This time it straightened down to the top of my shoulder blades. Dad of course wants it to stay long, but we had to say bye-bye to a few beautiful inches and hello to a cool and easy kept head of styled curls. Mom got a new do too. I waited so patiently while Michele cut her hair while I kept busy. I had a game to play. We both left feeling our best and ready for a week of easy going hair.

OUCH!...
I fell again! And, once again, I fell on my face! OUCH! My school called dad to let him know what happened. I was running on the way to recess and just hit the pavement--face first! I didn't even cry. I am such a tough guy! What are the chances? I have only had one scraped knee, 1 scraped elbow and 6 scraped cheeks, noses and so on. Mom keeps praying that I will catch myself with my arms or hands or bottom for that matter, but until then...thank God for Mederma!
Poll-I don't think it was by chance that they called dad first...do you?
