ESCAPE ARTIST...
Just give me a few tries and I will find a way out of here. Mom is on her toes because I climb EVERYTHING! I can get around pretty well these days. I walk holding on to the couch or the chairs. I can climb the net in my pack and play and the bumpers in my crib too. It turns out wood taste pretty good too. I took a bite right out of the side of my crib. YUM! My favorite pass time these days is looking out the window at my dog. I actually stand in the window or on the chair to see. In fact, I said Bus this morning. I can say dog too, but Bus is my dog's name.
A little more like a monkey each day. I am a great climber.

GOOD NEWS!...
I find all kinds of things to read these days. I still love my books, but newspapers and magazines are great too. A bit messy, but they make great sounds.

Good Hygiene...
Look at me. I can brush my teeth and my hair too. Mom's like their little boys to be clean and I smell so sweet--like lavender. Brusha, Brusha! Mom says I have to go to the dentist soon.
My toothbrush lights up, does yours?

I Got A New Shirt...
We took a trip to Chili's to visit with Uncle Scott, Kari and the fam. Wouldn't you know I spilled my water all over my clothes. I think it was the only time mom did not come prepared. They had to buy me a $12 t-shirt so I wouldn't be naked! I have a bit of growing room.
I love my Unkie Munkie!

10 MONTH CELEBRATION...
So big; so fast! Reagan continues to amaze us. At 10 months he has accomplished so much. We are so far from where we came from...NICU and all the fears that come with it. Reagan's receptive language is growing more each day. He can sign bye-bye, up, more and finished and uses these signs correctly. Here is a funny story for you. Reagan was playing in the living room and getting into everything. He likes to crawl away down the hall or over to the "dangerous furniture." Aunt Melissa told him "no, no." My Mr. RGT waved bye-bye to her and kept on crawling away. I don't know about you, but this cracks me up.
We were reading a book the other day. This is one of our favorite pass times. Reagan loves books with textures, hair, scales, bumps and such. He likes to lick the iguana scales, chew on the lion's hair, pull out the dog's fur and more. Lots of fun for everyone! Anyway, the koala in one of his books has a smooth leather nose. The koala in his new book has short gray fur. When we read the new book for the first time, Reagan recognized the animal and went straight for the koala's nose (like his old book.) I think he is a genius!
Reagan climbed 7 stairs at Grandma Malone's house, ate a cracker (grandma let him) and had a blast for his birthday! We celebrated later that evening with Aunt Melissa and Uncle Gene at Salt Grass. Reagan ordered a sweet potato. You would have thought I was starving him. He loved it! Too bad he doesn't like the ones I cook for him. I guess the oven is better than the microwave. I will have to try that next time.
You can see in the picture that Reagan is using his fine motor skills to color a picture :) His first experience with crayons. Lots were broken and even more ended up on the floor, but we had fun! Reagan likes the red one best. The next day started a 2 week trip to the doc. Double ear infections again! What am I going to do with those little ears? Reagan is a trooper! Mommy is tired!

RACK 'UM...
It's my first game and already I'm winning! I got the stripes and the solids in my mouth!

Challenge...do you think the balls tasted like chalk?

I'M ON THE HUNT...
Who do you think I am after? I will give you a hint. I love my stroller and long walks outside, but Sassy is even more fun at times. I am lucky she does not claw me. I think I deserve it sometimes. I just love hair and Sassy has lots to spare! Mom gets her hair pulled too. I can climb up to the top of mom's head by pulling her hair. Everyone thinks it is pretty funny. Mom is starting to think otherwise though. I even chew on the hair that is in my touch and feel books. I'm a texture kid!

On all 4's these days!

SO SWEET!...
I really don't take a paci anymore. I haven't in months, but I have more teeth coming in--YIKES! I already have 6. I just needed something to chew on. Mom thinks I look so sweet!
This is my new favorite spot in the house. I can sit on the carpet and bang on the tile with my hands. What a great sound. Plus, this is a hallway and the echoes sound pretty funny to me. I just keep yelling "bah, bah..." I like to hear my voice echo. Mom's fear came true when I bonked my mouth on the tile yesterday. OUCH!
More teeth? How many do I need?

HOW DO I GET DOWN?...
I love to pull up, stand up, cruise and so on, but how do I get down? Come back and get me!

I'm using all my muscles to pull up and walk around these days.

UNCLE SCOTT?...
Are you there? I miss you and love you! I had lots of fun playing with you last weekend! Please come back and see me soon. I am learning all kinds of new things and I need to show off! Good luck on your 1st college test today! Just remember SFA beats SAM anyday :)

FOOTBALL SEASON IS BACK...
Wow! I am already in my second season of football. Mom can hardly believe how fast the time goes by. Here I am at 44 weeks. The 1 year birthday party plans have already begun (for those of you who are wondering, it will be held on Sat., November 18th...please make plans to be here :) )
I have outgrown just about everything in my closet. I am on to 24 month clothes now. Being tall sure does make it hard to shop for me. I am stretching out a bit with all my crawling and I am bumping into everything. Mom keeps joking that she is going to put me in a padded helmet to protect me...it might not be a bad idea. It seems I knock myself out daily. I am standing in my Pack-n-Play, in my crib and pulling up on everything I can get my hands on. Mom is trying to teach me that the swiveling rockers are a bad idea. She signs "no" to me and tells me "no" too. I just look at her and frown and fake cry. I know what she is saying, but I don't like it one bit. A few more bumps and I might remember.
I have decided that baby food is NASTY! I like what mom is eating better. I love grapes and bananas--the real ones of course...no mush for me. I like my new biter biscuits and I am making lots of fun messes with those. Mom gave me a bite of cheese too. SHHHHH, don't tell. My doctor thinks I should wait a bit longer. I have also tried turkey. That stuff is gross. For all of those who like to laugh at mom, yes it was organic :) Mom keeps telling dad that she is going to have to cook more. The days of baby food already preped are almost over. This boy is ready for some big boy food. I can drink out of a straw and love ice cold water. Aunt Melissa says it will give me the hicups. That's okay by me.
I can click my tongue and I am immitating everyone around me. I can make a piggy sound too. Uncle Scott says it sounds like I have a runny nose and way too much snot. Mom and dad think it is hillarious!
My fine motor skills are out of this world. Mom is not bias. I can push tiny buttons to play my music, turn on and off lights and find the smallest of things to play with . I have no fear! This makes mom a bit nervous. I like to look over the edge of my highchair, lean over the edge of my crib and the bed and climb on everything including the bumpers. Mom is just waiting for me to fall out. She is considering a net to scoop me in with.
I like to cheer for myself too. I clap my knees with my hands and say yea! I have clapped my hands just once (on Sept.13th) This was a big accomplishment. Mom, Grandma Malone and Aunt Melissa have been working on this one for awhile. I can wave bye-bye too. I waved to my Uncle Dean for the first time on August 27th. We were celebrating dad's birthday. Since then it has been now and again. If you get a wave you are extra special! I am reaching for all the things I want and crawling after them too. Mom is still my favorite toy! She loves it when I put my arms up for her to get me or try to crawl up her legs. Mom's are so silly like that!

My first time to pull up successfully in my Pack-n-Play. YEA!

HEY, THAT'S ME!...
Mom is already on a roll. She has my name on the fridge and pictures of me all over too. I like the letters. I can cruise by in my car and rearrange them. If you know mom, then you know she has to put them back in the right order. This rearranging keeps mom pretty busy :) Okay, I will cut her a break...she does let me put them back the way I like too. I usually chew on them for a bit, drop some on the floor, hide some in my car, toss a few under the fridge (YUCK!) and then wait for mom to fix it all again. Mom, I think I want some new magnets. I think they have a farm set I would like to try out.
Spelling is easy!

GRRRR...
Mom and dad were having a hard time deciding what I should be for Halloween...I think they decided. I look pretty cute as a lion! I tried out a bug and a chicken too. The lion took the cake.
It's just what they had available. No intention of being a chicken for Halloween.
I'm a lion on Daddy's birthday!

9 months old!...
Time sure flies when your having fun! I've been learning so many new things. In one week I learned how to sit up from a laying position, pull up to my knees to play, wave bye-bye, give a high-5, stand in my pack and play and crib and crawl on all 4's rather than army style. Mom is going in circles all day long. What used to work to keep me still for just a minute just is not an option anymore. Here's an example, I love to drive in my car...but now, I like to drive my car to the curtains and pull on them and open and shut cabinets and drawers that I can reach too. Talk about a busy boy. I have a whole new lease on life. I now know what I am capable of and I am trying all kinds of new things. If you have a chance to hear my fake cough you are in for a real treat! I can cough on cue. I also say mama and mum ma when I am upset or need some attention. It works great! I laugh at myself too. I love puppets and my Baby Einstein water video. I giggle at that all the time.
For all of you who are wondering, I am just over 30 inches long now and I weigh 24.11 1/2 pounds. 95th percentile for height and 97th percentile for weight.
Such a big boy; my baby

JUST LIKE FAMILY...
I got to meet the "extended" part of my dad's family. Uncle Deryk and Aunt Tracy were in town from CT and we had a great time visiting. They are just like family! Dad spent a lot of time at his house growing up.
I got to play with their nieces toys too. She had a slinky dog and a caterpillar on a string...that was fun! Aunt Tracy--please move back to Houston with Uncle Deryk (right after we come to CT to see the snow.)
Fun times with the "fam"

CHOMP!...OUCH!
Forget about shark teeth; check out my teeth! I have 5 of them...and one on the way. I am chewing on everything from mom's knee, to her cheek, to my toys and myself. I even discovered how to grind them all together. Dad almost had a fit (it was 1 am and mom and dad were tired.) I worked it all out with a teething ring after that. It took a couple of hours. I learned how to smack my lips and say "um" when I eat my yummy veggies too. Mom thinks this is pretty cute. Brusha, Brusha. I have to keep these pearly whites lookin' good.
CHEESE!

LIL COWBOY...
Every cowboy needs some boots, but I think these are a bit big for me! I'm 39 weeks old, 23.4 pounds and just over 30 inches long...these boots may fit soon. Just this week I started pulling up on mom and on my toy basket too. I can pull up to a sitting, kneeling and standing position. I still need help to stay put, but I am getting there faster than mom can believe. I am still creeping around on my belly. I push off with my left foot and reach out and grab anything I can pull with my left arm. MUSCLE MAN! I tried honey dew melon this past week too...it makes me burp :) I have started to talk even more and call for mum, mum all the time...esp when I am tired or upset. Mum, mum is on the way!
What size are these things?

HONK, HONK...BEEP, BEEP...
I finally made it to the Children's Museum! Mom and Aunt Melissa had a great time too. Mom was shocked to see how busy the Tot Spot was. It made her a little nervous. Some of those tots could run. I tried everything out. The velcro wall and the silver bead chains were my favorite. The beads reminded me of mama's hair :) I liked playing with all the different textured balls too. I could see myself in so many mirrors around the room. Who knew I could look so cute?
I played with all the switches on the wall too. I knew how to turn them on and off and little colored lights would turn on and off too. This one was the easiest for me. It is just like driving my car...spin the wheel and the light comes on. It started to rain while we were inside so we took a detour and looked around the exibits. I saw little chicks...fresh out of their eggs in the hatchery. I tried to pick one up, but it was under glass. I love little fluffy animals (esp. Sassy.)
I got to look at myself in Alice and Wonderland's crazy mirrors and take a stroll through the other exibits too. When it stopped raining we headed outside, my favorite place to be. We saw so many interesting flowers, a pond and a stream too. There were rubber ducks in there. I'm used to the real thing, but the big kids were catching the ducks in nets. That looked like fun. I think I will try that when I get a bit bigger. Mom let me play in the water a bit. She got wet! One of the fountain squirts went right up her pants leg! When we were through, mom took me to the gift shop. I knew exactly what I wanted. A bouncing, rubber atom ball. I had played with one back at the Tot Spot. It was a good day...I think I will take some friends with me next time. Mom laughed because we had not even made it out of the parking lot before I was asleep. I was EXHAUSTED! There was so much to see and do at the musuem. Next up, the zoo!

I'm an explorer!
